Joshua L. Farrell, Esq.

Mr. Farrell was admitted to the New York State Bar in January 2003, after graduating from the State University at Buffalo - School of Law, magna cum laude, earning two graduation awards, UB Law Faculty Award and the Adolph Homburger Award.  While attending Law School Mr. Farrell was also honored to become a Buffalo Public Interest Law fellow.  He earned his undergraduate degree from SUNY Geneseo.

Since joining the firm in 2003 Mr. Farrell has been actively involved in all aspects of the firm’s civil litigation cases, criminal defense work, real estate transactions and leases, surrogate’s court estates, landlord tenant disputes, and zoning matters.  Additionally, he has been lead defense counsel in four criminal jury trials, earning an outright acquittal of all charges in two of the four trials.

He is currently a member of the Albany County Bar Association, was recently Treasurer for The Committee to Elect Michael Lynch in its successful judicial campaign, and is currently a Committeeman in the City of Albany for the Albany County Democratic Committee.

Mr. Farrell authored the American Bar Association’s Journal of Affordable Housing and Community Development article “The FHA’s Origins: How Its Valuation Method Fostered Racial Segregation and Suburban Sprawl” (Summer 2002).
